Shakeyla's Treasures

We Need Each Other

                        There are 7
billion people that are breathing on this earth as we speak, and each one of
them has a purpose. We all have a purpose, big or small. Our hard work is what
helps keeps this world working. We are a body working together.  Imagine this huge body in the universe. It
has many parts, lips, eyes, eyelashes, arms, hands, feet, etc. Even though some
parts are bigger than the other does that mean that one is more important than
the other? No, it does not. Each part is very important, big or small. Every
part of the body is valuable. We were given many talents, and gifts to
contribute to the world. ‘For just as we
have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same
function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members
one of another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to
us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the
proportion of his faith’-Romans12:4-5.

People tend to forget that everyone
on this earth is destined for a purpose. Some feel as if because they went to
college, and have this amazing job that they are superior to those who make
less than them. It’s so annoying, and so untrue. Everyone is important, from
the CEO of McDonalds to the cook of McDonalds. That CEO may run the company,
but there would be no company without the cook. The CEO is successful and has
given hundreds of people jobs, but at the same time the cook at McDonalds is the
reason why the business is afloat. There would be no McDonalds without either
one of them. From the CEO to the cook the business is sustained.

Every job, no matter how big or
small is of importance. Each skill is used for the greater good of the people
on this earth. God cares about all of us, and He even cares about our jobs.
When he created us He created us for this purpose, whether it is big or small.  ‘God is
the teacher of all-from the baker to plowman. All knowledge comes from Him, no
job is greater than the other’-Isiah 28:23-29

This subject has been on my heart for
a while now, because I have seen the way people treat and judge others because
of their employment statuses. Some people are even ashamed of their jobs.
Others are comparing their jobs to the next person’s job, not realizing that
what is for them is for them. God has a plan for all of us. We are where we are
supposed to be at this exact moment. There is no need for shame, or shaming
others. We should respect one another in all the things we do. The same God
that we worship is also worshipped by powerful people as well. ‘Kings shall see and arise, princes also
shall worship, because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and
He has chosen you’-Isiah 49:7.
No matter how big or small the job is we are
chosen by God. You are no less than kings. God chose them, and He has chosen
you too. Each body part is used for the glory of God above.

Have joy in all that you are called
to do.

                        Remember that you are
loved by the Most High God, and that I love you too.
